What started over a decade ago as a small family dream has grown into a thriving community hub, a place where South Africans find home again, and where Americans discover their new favorite comfort food.

Since day one, Izak & Natasha De Wet have poured heart, humor, and hard work into building Dutchy’s into what it is today: authentic, warm, cheeky, and always delicious.

Our Story

Dutchy’s opened its doors in Plantation, FL with one goal: bring the true taste of South Africa to South Florida. Not a watered-down version, the real deal. The “your-mom-would-approve” version.

From handmade Biltong and Droëwors, Boerewors to Meat Pies, and all the groceries you grew up with, we’ve made it our mission to keep South African classics alive while welcoming new customers into the culture.

Over the years, Dutchy’s evolved into something bigger than just a shop or restaurant. It became a place where accents mix, stories flow, and people gather to eat, laugh, and feel at home, whether they’re South African, American, or just hungry.

Our Plantation location remains our flagship:

This store is market-only (no restaurant menu), but it’s fully stocked with all your favorites:

Yes. Local pickup is available for online orders at checkout.
Is there a restaurant at your Boca Raton location?

No. Our Boca Raton location is a South African market only. If you're looking for our restaurant meals, visit us at our Plantation location.
Do you sell alcohol or South African wine online?

South African beers & wines are available in-store only and cannot be shipped.
Do you make your Biltong, Droëwors, and Boerewors in-house?

Yes! All of our meat products are made in-house at Dutchy’s. We do not add preservatives or sugar to our meat products.
Where can I buy Biltong in the USA?

You can buy authentic South African biltong online at Dutchy’s Gourmet Sausages, and we ship nationwide across all 50 states. Our biltong is made in-house using traditional South African methods.
What is Biltong?

Biltong is a traditional South African air-dried meat snack, similar to jerky but made with different spices and a natural drying process. It’s known for its rich flavor and tender texture.
What is Boerewors?

Boerewors is a traditional South African sausage typically made from beef and pork with a blend of spices. At Dutchy’s, we make our boerewors in-house using traditional methods. We also offer a beef-only option in lamb casing for customers who prefer not to consume pork. It’s most commonly cooked on a braai (South African BBQ) and is a staple of South African cuisine.
